Develop your career. The Well Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join our purpose-built small animal hospital in Sligo. 

 

The Role 

  • Full-time, Permanent position 
  • 4 day work week (40 hours per week) 
  • Some Saturday shifts from time to time 
  • No OOH, Sundays or Bank Holidays 
  • Salary €30,000-€35,360 commensurate with experience level 
  • Clinical role with duties including; anaesthetic/analgesic monitoring, surgery rotation, nurse consultations, emergency triaging, in patient management. 
  • 22 days annual leave (subject to pro rata)

What we need from you 

  • VCI registered veterinary nurse 
  • Experience in anaesthetic monitoring required 
  • Must be able to function independently and as part of a team 
  • Passionate about furthering your own nursing career through CPD and certificates 
  • Uphold and contribute to a high standard of patient care 
  • Ability to multitask efficiently during busier clinic days alongside the rest of the veterinary team

The Well Pet Hospital is a 100% small animal practice located in Sligo. Located between Lough Gill and the beautiful coastal town of Sligo, famed for its heritage history, local community and festivals. The Well Pet Hospital was established in July 2016 as a friendly, modern clinic where patient care is our number one priority. Our practice is bright and spacious, giving a nice environment to work effectively and comfortably as part of a larger team. Our expert team is made up of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Veterinary Nurses, and 4 support staff (3 of whom are RVN’s themselves). We are a close-knit, professional team with some of our team holding certificates in Dermatology, Small Animal Medicine, and AVECC Advanced Life Support. We have a strong emphasis on work-life balance, and employee wellbeing.  We provide sponsorship and funding to local GAA teams, organizations and a local agricultural show.
