Independent Family-Run Mixed Practice in Beautiful Norfolk, up to £35kpr
Wood Farm Vets is an independent rural mixed general practice serving the South Norfolk and North Suffolk area. Housed in our beautiful Grade II listed barn conversion on the outskirts of Wymondham, Norfolk, our regular working hours are between 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday (i.e. no weekend clinics), with the surgery open to clients from 8:30am to 6:30pm. We provide our own out-of-hours cover and hospitalisation facilities, ensuring continuity of care. We are a small, friendly, close-knit team, and we put patient and client care at the forefront of what we do.
We are seeking an additional Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience of nursing all species. This role would suit a dynamic individual who is keen to expand, promote, and lead our ambulatory nursing services and nurse-led clinics across all species, under the support and guidance of the Nursing Manager. As such, a UK driving license and own transport is preferred. Wood Farm Vets is a listed Training Practice, and so a desire to perform a Clinical Coaching role is advantageous.
This permanent position is available immediately and will comprise a fixed shift rota of between 20 to 35 hours per week, worked over three to four days, dependent on the successful candidate’s preference. Participation in our on-call rota will be required (currently 1-in-4 weekends and 1 weeknight per week), for which you’ll receive either a retainer fee or reimbursed at an enhanced out-of-hours rate on the occasions you get called in. There are no out-of-hours phone duties, as all calls are answered and triaged by the on-call vet.
In return we’ll provide you with a salary in line with experience and SPVS guidelines, up to £35k pro-rata for an experienced RVN. Additionally, we pay RCVS retention fees, BVA membership, 5 ½ weeks paid annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro rata), and encourage, arrange, and fund professional development.
For an informal chat about this position please call 01953 600837 and ask to speak to Florence (Practice Manager) or Kate (Nursing Manager); if you would like to apply, please send your CV and covering letter to florence@woodfarmvets.co.uk
