An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Small Animal Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Referral centre.

Due to the practice growth this is an additional RVN position and you will be joining a friendly, supportive team consisting of 4 Registered Veterinary Nurse's and 2 Animal Nursing Assistant's. 

Oxford Veterinary Specialists is a family run independent business which aims to provide the highest clinical standards. Its founder and clinical director, Hannes Bergmann, is particularly keen in providing a very personal approach for our clients and the referring veterinarian's.

Our modern facilities include 4 Consult rooms , 2 Operating theatres, Prep room , CT scanner, Digital Xray, In-house laboratory plus separate Dog and Cat wards.

We are looking for a friendly, dedicated and enthusiastic RVN who can help provide excellent care to our clients and their pets. The ideal candidate will be confident in anaesthetising a range of patients for surgery including emergency and critically ill patients. However this is not essential as in house training and support will be provided. The position will invole rotating within:

Anaesthesia

Scrubbing in to assist with procedures

Patient care

Admissions, discharges and post operative nurse appointments.

Assisting with processing referral bookings.

Use of our management system for note keeping, pricing and booking appointments.

This role is full time working a 36 hr week plus a on call night care shift to care for our inpatients on a Wednesday.

Part time will be considered for the right candidate.

Salary for this role is up to £30,000 depending on previous experience.

No weekends

No OOH
