Job Description

Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Nurse returning to practice

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse or a Veterinary Nurse keen to return to practice, for our buzzing, RCVS accredited practice in Bournemouth.
The position is open to all experience levels, and we welcome contact for an informal chat.

Welcome to Natterjacks – where our team really means everything to us

Located across our two sister sites in Bournemouth and Poole, we
emphasise having fun at work and believe in having a great quality of life.

Why would I want to work at Natterjacks?

We have an inclusive and approachable style that has enticed a diverse client base,
with an interesting caseload to boot. We have something for everyone! We currently
have a good range of equipment and even a CT scanner at our Poole practice.

We are continually investing in new facilities to provide our team with the opportunity to
grow and flourish. We would support any ambition to specialise and would fund all necessary training.

If you are returning to Veterinary Nursing, you would be fully supported by your fantastic colleagues to ensure a smooth transition back into every aspect of the role – enabling you to flourish, develop and enjoy all that Natterjacks has to offer. The return to practice can feel overwhelming, but we are open to hearing about how you want to be supported to rebuild your confidence, as well as having further support from the wider VetPartners community. We also have access to a variety of learning platforms and CPD opportunities to help you get back 'up to scratch' clinically. We really enjoy helping people return to work in a friendly and comfortable environment.

The area:

Situated in beautiful Dorset, the Bournemouth & Poole area has lots to offer, meaning plenty of options for enjoying your well-earned down time! It boasts miles of idyllic coastline for enjoying high energy water sports or leisurely walks, super shopping facilities and a multitude of dining options to suit all tastes.
There are great links to motorways and public transport. Bournemouth has its own airport too.

So, what makes a good Natterjacks Nurse?

You will need a splash of clinical excellence and ambition – we have grown to
become one of the largest and most popular practices in the area. Subscribing to the
same easy-going and positive philosophy we have will be a winning combination. We
have no egos and no attitudes – we work hard for one another and our lovely
clientele.

What would my work pattern look like?

The usual full-time role would involve an average of 38 hours per week, working over 4 weekdays per week, and 1 in 4 Saturdays. We don’t do out-of-hours work.

We mean what we say – work/life balance is key to our team having a great quality of life.

Sounds intriguing; let’s talk benefits:

• Salary from £23,000 DOE, plus a discretional monthly bonus
• HealthShield cash plan – with a range of shopping and store discounts
included.
• £600 CPD allowance with 3 days paid CPD leave
• 6.6 weeks holiday, including Bank Holidays
• Opportunity to buy and sell holiday
• Enhanced sick, maternity, and paternity pay
• Cycle to work scheme
• Discounts for your own pets.
