Job Description

Are you a passionate and empathetic registered veterinary nurse wishing to work in local veterinary practice who loves being part of the community helping both pets and people?

Come join Ferndown Family Vets in Ferndown, Bournemouth, where we are dedicated to providing compassionate care for our furry friends whilst minimising stress and anxiety in soothing surroundings. We are an independent practice accredited as an ISFM gold cat clinic and winner of the practice design awards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with vets, nurses and our front of house team ensuring comprehensive patient care from when they first call
  • Educating pet owners on their journey with their pet from young to old and at- home care
  • Monitoring anaesthetics and assisting in surgical procedures, examinations, and routine treatments
  • Nurse clinics
  • Caring for hospitalised patients

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
  • Awareness of Fear free practice and willingness to develop these skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues
  • Passion for delivering excellent veterinary patient care
