Registered Vet Nurse, Small Animal Practice
United Kingdom
I have been working in the veterinary nursing industry since before leaving school in 1995. I began volunteering at Alistair Lawrie's veterinary practice in both cumbernauld and Falkirk as well as some paid work also. I gained a wealth of experience with Alistair over the years and then moved on to a full time position at Colin Bruce veterinary surgery in cumbernauld. Before qualifying I left the industry whilst I had my family and worked in the travel industry before returning to the veterinary profession with Clyde vet group teir 3 accredited veterinary hospital in 2008. This industry really is where my heart lies. Thanks to my employer, I am now a fully qualified RVN and have recently gained my nurses certificate in ECC. I have always worked with animals from a young age, volunteering at Palacerigg country Park for 5 years before starting at Alistair's. I have a chinchilla a hand reared DLH whome I took on at only 3 hrs old and 9 ragdoll cats! Aka the Clyde vet group resident crazy cat lady, lol! . I am particularly passionate about ECC nursing, surgical nursing and have a special interest in orthopaedics. I also enjoy every aspect of radiography and peri operative nursing care.
