Internal Medicine Nurse (Veterinary)
Grade 5 starting from £25,138 (plus 6% shift allowance for weekend working)
 
A great opportunity has arisen to join our amazing Medicine & Cardiology nursing team.
 
You would provide specialist and highly skilled level of nursing care to patients within the University of Glasgow’s Small Animal Hospital. As part of the Medicine team, you would rotate through Anaesthesia, ICU, Medicine, Wards and Oncology. This will allow you to gain a good all-round knowledge of medical nursing. Key components of this role include:
•         Assisting in the day-to-day running of the team, using initiative and judgement to identify and resolve problems independently.
•         Providing specialist knowledge and advice to nursing and support staff.
•         Helping with the teaching of veterinary undergraduates, student veterinary nurses.
•         Aiding in the development of new treatments such as Endoscopy and the new dialysis treatments.

The working pattern is mainly Monday to Friday with weekends worked and days off during the week (Currently 1:4). Participation on the Bank Holiday rota is required (additional payment given)
