Benjamin Mee, motivational speaker, journalist and the man behind the bestselling book and Hollywood blockbuster "We Bought A Zoo". The SPVS and the VPMA have announced that registration is now open for their 2018 Congress at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport on 25-27 January 2018.

SPVS/VPMA Congress, which is supported by Boehringer and Citation, will be opened this year by Benjamin Mee, motivational speaker, journalist and the man behind the bestselling book and Hollywood blockbuster "We Bought A Zoo". 

Other highlights in the CPD programme include:

  • Canadian vet, Jonathan Bloom, introducing the Fear Free Practice approach - Having It All in Practice: Happy Pets and People, Healthier Pets and Profits
  • In Conversation with Sally Hopson, CEO of The Vet Group (Vets4Pets and Companion Care) 
  • Mind Matters Stream in partnership with RCVS chaired by psychiatrist, journalist and author, Dr Max Pemberton 
  • Dr Mandy Bertram on the Chimp Paradox, a mind management model first devised by Dr Steve Peters and applied to his work with elite athletes
  • A repeat of the Ownership Options and New to Management streams
  • Brand new for 2018, a Large Animal stream in addition to our popular Equine Stream

The exhibition offers a range of suppliers with advice on marketing, management and business development.

For this year’s President's banquet the theme will be a touch of Moulin Rouge, with high energy festival and party band, RPJ, headed by Rick Parfitt Jnr. Congress will start on Thursday with a Congress Cabaret night, featuring Edinburgh Fringe regulars, Peablossom Academy.
