The Veterinary Medicines Directorate has issued an alert that Bio-Tech Solutions has recalled Armitage Pet Care Flea and Tick Drops for Dogs and Armitage Flea Drops for Cats and Kittens, after a packaging error which caused an unknown quantity of the permethrin-containing dog product to be distributed in packaging labelled for cats.

Clients should be advised that exposure to small quantities of concentrated permethrin can cause severe and fatal poisoning in cats. If they have one of the products, it should be returned to the place it was bought, or returned to the company:
