The ideal Christmas present for a vet nurse to give a child has just landed on my desk.
It's the Amazing ABC Adventure by Lorna Maxwell, out now in paperback from Long Barn Books and available on Amazon here.
Each letter of the alphabet begins an eclectic list of things to be found within a delightful illustration on the facing page. There's a strong animal theme throughout the book: everything from annoyed armadillos and affectionate alligators to worried wombats and yodelling yaks.
One of those books that it's a pleasure to read a child before bed. A steal at £5.79.

Its a fab book my son loves it....if you do have children they will love it! x
I wrote the story. I didn't presume any higher birth rates amongst nurses than the rest of the population :)
It was just a recommendation that for those nurses that DO have children, this might be a nice present!
Why is it that people naturally assume that a vet nurse has children?
I dislike this stereotype. I can't have and certainly don't want any children. I have a family of rabbits which is enough for me!!
Ooooo that book looks fab! May have to get it for my HNs baby!
