A new device call the Animalarm, which sends dog owners an SMS text message if the temperature in their car exceeds a preset threshold, has been launched this week.
Apparently, you can also ring the device to check what the temperature is inside your car.
The Animalarm sells for £108 inc. VAT from www.animalarm.co.uk.
Now all we need is a bit of sun.

I have also looked at the website where this product is sold and have read other problems that could arise causing failure of the equipment, e.g. the equipment is not waterproof and yet the image demonstrates it is placed near the dog's location in the car, should a dog start to pant excessivly or hypersalivate, this of course could be an issue. In addition to this, there is a note to state that as long as the phone has reception, then there is no limit to how far you can go away to the car; this of course then poses a problem if you need to return from the car urgently to assist your dog. And in addition to this, should the device be worked upon a pay as you go SIM card and run out of credit, there will be no text sent to identify an issue with the temperature. My concerns go on!
