Bob Martin has launched FleaClear (fipronil) for cats and dogs, which will be sold through multiple retailers and leading pet retailers for as little as £4.50 per treatment.
The company says it is backing the launch with 'considerable marketing spend', which will include TV advertising, a press campaign in women's consumer lifestyle titles, PR and social media campaigns.
According to the company's press release: "Not only is it cheaper than Frontline it can be bought off the shelf saving a costly visit to the vets."
Indeed. Not to mention the savings to be made by not having to hospitalise the permethrined cat.

Shame they haven't noticed that Frontline is sold over the counter too........
if this means the other bob martins flea products are discontinued then this has to be good in that there will be fewer deaths, but for me I am afraid the Bob Martins name will now always be inextricably linked with dead or dying cats - I have seen too many of them.
The fipronil based spot on that we sell in our practice for a cat sized is a comparable price - and with that you get good advice and no hard sell from a veterinary professional buck-shee, now that is what I call a bargain!
Surely the packaging looks too similer to frontlune, but then they did the samewith another product too....sorry bob martin, still not a fan!
We are using Seresto now, which with our mark up (providing it works for 7-8 months) is still cheaper than what this product retails for, hopefully people won't be ripped off.
As we are finding an increased amount of clients saying that frontline is no longer effective, I'm assuming like every other bob martin product this will be just a waste of people's money and they are going to have to go to the vets for advocat or stronghold!
I agree, i never use or advise Bob Martins as it never works and alot of clients who have used it still ring up saying their pet has fleas. My worry is once clients have found out the product contains the same as Frontline, many people will start using it and I feel it will be hard to argue not to.
I would never use any Bob Martin flea products as they never work. I would must rather pay the extra for a product like frontline because I know that it works.
